Hi!  My name is Chrissie and I am the founder of The East End Library.  I’m a 25+ year resident of Ventura and a long time lover of literature, wine, and connecting with others.  Those interests, plus my desire to discuss, learn and explore them all deeply is what bore the idea for this space: an elevated, curated book club that pairs dynamic wines with beautiful pieces of literature and a space to talk about them together. 📖🍷🤍

What’s in a name?  The East End Library is a nod to my roots here in Ventura.  While everyone knows Ventura for the west side beaches and midtown’s charm, the east end rarely gets its moment to shine.  But there is something unique about the quiet suburbs of the east end, from the best corn burritos at Tony’s, to the unforgettable michelada’s at Two Trees or the warmth and coziness at Simones , the East End hosts some of the most nostalgic spots Ventura has to offer. 🤗

And that’s the feeling I want to capture.  Warmth, coziness, nostalgia and a place you can keep coming back to, whether to talk about books, build community or simply sip on a good wine.✨
